Invercargill crash driver sought

Police are appealing for information after a driver involved in a crash at an Invercargill intersection failed to stop.

The incident happened at Crinan St and Elles Rd about 9.30am today.

Police said the driver of a dark grey, older model Japanese two-door hatchback was travelling east on Crinan St when they went through a give way sign at the intersection before colliding with a vehicle travelling south on Elles Rd.

The driver in the damaged hatchback did not stop, but sped off. There was one other person in the vehicle.

No one was injured in the crash.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the incident, or has any information about the driver and the hatchback, which has a registration starting with WW1.
