Parts for the new wind farm at Kaiwera Downs continue to be trucked to the site in hopes the project will go live in August.
The wind farm, built by Mercury Energy, started construction in October.
The 10 turbine project was announced in September last year and crews were on site the following month.
The farm will have a capacity of 43MW, enough to power over 20,000 homes or 66,000 electric vehicles.
It is located 11km east of Mataura, just off State Highway 19 between Clinton and Mataura.
The turbines will have a blade height of 145m and the power will be transmitted back to the PowerNet/Transpower substation in Gore.
The movement of the components for the wind farm started about the middle of last month and was continuing through this month.
Project manager Stew Reid said earlier this week about 60 deliveries had been made so far, four components a day moving to the site.
In total, 90 main components need to be delivered to assemble the 10 turbines.
Construction is well under way, four base and mid tower sections already installed.
The remaining six base and mid towers will be stood before completing the rest of the installation including the blades.
The plan was to start livening the site from early August.
The project had a budget of around $115 million.
