New Zealand’s Wānaka-based honorary consul of Luxembourg, Frauke Carola Oddone, is selling her luxury, solar-powered property at Foxglove Heights, Wānaka.

The recently completed, 740sqm home, in Far Horizon Park, has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two garages and a wellness centre, the Sotheby’s listing says.

When Mrs Oddone and her Italian husband Andrea Oddone bought the 4397sqm property more than five years ago, it was bare land.

The Oddones arrived in New Zealand on the eve of the Covid pandemic lockdown in March 2020, according to a Wānaka App report last year.

The couple have been building the lodge during the past three years.

The New Zealand government appointed Mrs Oddone as the Luxembourg honorary consul last year.

She is a chartered accountant and was KPMG’s chief strategist in Luxembourg, a small country of about 2586sqkm.

The most recent rateable capital value was $5.3million in 2021, according to the Queenstown Lakes District Council website.
