Creative designers and models are invited to strut their stuff in Wānaka Wastebusters’ fifth annual Refashion event on March 21 at the Lake Wānaka Centre.

March is Wastebusters’ Slow Fashion Month and Refashion was a highlight for local designers.

Wastebusters’ events and projects co-ordinator Abi Hurford-Abel said the 6pm Refashion event was designed to encourage people to rethink the way they shopped for and sourced clothing.

"People are welcome to show up to 10 items so we have space for you, whether you have just one or two garments or would like to show more."

Models were needed to showcase the creative costumes, which would range from active wear to evening wear, funky or formal, she said.
