Invercargill’s knitting force united at Holy Trinity church last Friday for Operation Cover Up.
It is an initiative run by Missions Without Borders which provides children and families in Eastern Europe with warm clothes and blankets.
Margaret Mattsen co-ordinated a knitting display at the church to show off some of the knitting.
She said the knitters worked over a year, creating clothes, blankets and even hot water bottle covers for the event.
"We received donations of wool which is helpful since mostly everyone is on a fixed income."
