    Hokonui Colleges’ Hosea Pasco, 17, from Māruawai College, runs hard through Mount Aspiring College's defence in their match on Saturday.

    The game was played during Edendale Rugby Club’s annual club day, where Junior Rippa, tackle, first XV and senior teams laced up their boots and dozens of supporters flocked to support the Magpies.

    The home side won the first XV clash between Hokonui Colleges and Wānaka’s Mount Aspiring College 34-7, and in the first division "Battle of the Bridge" between Edendale and Wyndham, the visitors claimed the 29-23 win.
