The "belly dancing taster" will be held at the St Andrew’s Church Hall on Saturday night.
Ms Booker said she had been belly dancing for about 25 years.
"I’m really passionate about it."
It was the kind of dance that did not require a partner.
"It’s a dance that is suitable for all shapes and sizes.
"It’s very expressive."
She found it was a good way to lift her mood.
"It’s empowering, it gives you self-confidence.
"It can lift you up out of your boring existence of gumboots, mud and work."
It was a dance form where those taking part could have fun.
"You can put your joy into it."
She tried flamenco dancing for a while, but found it too serious.
"I couldn’t stick with it because I can not hold the face; serious, proud."
As well as giving a demonstration of the dance, she would also talk about its history.
Some people had misconceptions about what belly dancing was, she said.
She was also hoping to gauge how much interest there would be in her starting a belly dancing class next year.
