How did you feel when you found out you had been elected a head student? How did you find out?
Prior to finding out that I would be the head girl at our senior prizegiving, I was sitting nervously in my seat, silently panicking to myself for two hours, since I was so anxious about it. However, when I heard my name called, all of the anxiety and worry went away, and I was extremely relieved that all of my years of hard work to reach this position had finally paid off.
What do you hope to achieve as a head student? Do you have any goals and projects in mind?
As a head student, I hope to be able to be someone that others look up to and aspire to be like. I do not have any major projects in mind but my goal is to bring joy to those around me and make others feel loved and seen.
What are you most excited about this year?
I am very excited to spend this last year with my friends in year 13 and make amazing memories especially since it’s the last year before we all split off and start our own journeys.
What advice would you give to your fellow classmates this year?
The advice I would give to my fellow classmates this year is to enjoy life, find the smallest things to be grateful for and cherish every moment because high school is the only chance we get to spend this much time together with our closest friends. Time is always running out and before we know it, all of our paths will split off, so make the most of the moment you are in.
What are your interests and hobbies inside and outside school?
I am interested in playing and watching volleyball and basketball, and I especially love spending time with my loved ones.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to see myself on stage and graduating as a dentist. I also hope to have gone on an overseas trip by then and explored the world just a little more. But overall, I just hope to be proud of myself and content with life.

How did you feel when you found out you were elected a head student? How did you find out?
Our principal told me, and I was rather surprised.
What do you hope to achieve as a head student? Do you have any goals and projects in mind?
I hope to be able to continue to contribute to the culture of the school and make sure that school is a place that everyone wants to come to, and also to be a good example to others.
What are you most excited about this year?
There are a number of national races that I am looking forward to representing Menzies at and helping the rest of the student leadership team run and lead events.
What advice would you give to your fellow classmates this year?
Let’s not let our effort or energy slack off as the year goes on. We have started so well. Let’s not fumble.
What are your interests and hobbies inside and outside of school?
I run cross-country and track, so I am usually training or spending time with family. I also do some water skiing in the summer.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
At this point, I hope to be working in a surveying company and continuing to train at a high level.
