A "great selection" of cars were out and about on Sunday’s sunny afternoon at the "Motoring Mad" car rally at Tulloch Park in Mataura — including a 1967 VK Vampire.

Mrs Clearwater said organisers had no idea of the number of people who turned up, but said the scout group gave a massive thanks for another year of support for the rally and the youth organisation.

The money raised would go towards the running cost for Mataura Scouts to keep the fees low and make it more affordable, she said.
