Both teams improved their records to four wins from four after the Heat downed the Manawatu Jets 105-73 while the Pistons outplayed the Otago Nuggets 97-64.
Harbour led just 46-43 at halftime but their offence clicked after halftime as Corey Webster poured in 28 points and New Zealand Breakers centre Rick Rickert 21. Richard Jeter was impressive for Manawatu, scoring a game-high 30.
Import Eric Devendorf was led the way for Waikato with 29 points, supported by 23 to Thomas Abercrombie. The Nuggets also faded after halftime and could thank Antoine Tisby and Tyler Amaya for the bulk of their scoring with 25 and 21 points respectively.
The night's other match saw the Southland Sharks beat the Christchurch Cougars 79-75 for a second win in their debut season.
Mike Rose scored 20 points and Rene Rougeau 19 for the winners while Mark Morrison led the way for the hosts with 24.
