The New Zealand Breakers overcame the Sydney Kings 95-90 in Hamilton last night, thanks largely to American import Parker Jackson-Cartwright.
Jackson-Cartwright had an inspired second half to lead the Breakers to the come-from-behind victory at Claudelands Arena. The Los Angeles native scored 21 of his game-high 24 points in the last half.
And with the Breakers leading 90-89 it was his pullup triple with 8sec left that clinched victory for the home side.
NZ Breakers 95 (Parker Jackson-Cartwright 24, Karim Lopez 18, Izaiah Brockington 17, Sam Mennenga 13, Rob Baker 10), Sydney Kings 90 (Kendric Davis 18, Jaylin Galloway 16, Bul Kuol 15, Xavier Cooks 14). Quarter scores: 26-27, 49-47, 68-74.
