Commonwealth Games contender Blake Signal (Wellington) had his travel plans disrupted by the wild Wellington winds yesterday.
His flight to Dunedin went via Auckland and he arrived at the North East Valley Bowling club at 5.30pm when the rest of the North East Valley singles field were in the later stages of their second-round games.
Signal began his first-round game against New Zealand singles champion Shaun Scott (North East Valley) at 6.20pm and will play his missed second-round game after play finishes tonight.
