He was unbeaten in two Professional Bowls Association events in Dunedin at the weekend.
Walker dipped out early in the Shanghai event on Saturday but was imperious in the qualifying events for the Scottish International Open singles and the ranking pairs.
Walker won the ranking pairs event on Monday with New Zealand development squad member Mark Watt (North East Valley) and has reached the finals of the singles that will be played on Friday.
In the final two days of the three-day PBA tournament at Queens Birthday weekend, Walker was unbeaten in 10 games.
The pairs was Walker's first win in a PBA ranking event for two years and has now lifted his New Zealand PBA ranking from sixth to second.
Walker demonstrated his skills in the pairs when he led for Watt and they beat Carolyn Crawford (St Clair) and Dennis Leeden (Wakari) 8-6, 7-5 in the final.
Walker took control of the pairs competition by playing short ends. He was used to them but his opponents found it difficult.
"I tried to put one bowl on the jack and one over to give Mark protection on each end," Walker said.
He played his best shot in the second set when Leeden was in front 2-1 and had shots on the head. His bowl moved the jack back for three shots to take the lead 4-2.
"I didn't want to go into the tie breaker with Dennis because that is when he is most dangerous," Walker said.
On the next end Leeden had a close shot but wanted more and took a gamble. His bowl moved slightly and the umpire was not able to separate the two sides and the end finished in a rare tie.
Crawford was the first female bowler to reach the final of a PBA event in New Zealand.
Ross Munro (Forbury Park) backed up winning the Shanghai Singles on Saturday to reach the final of the Scottish International Open singles after upsetting last year's form player and New Zealand No 3 Peter Wilson (Kaikorai) 8-4, 3-14, 2-1 in the semifinals.
Munro beat Wilson with his last bowl in the third end of the tie-breaker. It was Wilson's first loss in 19 consecutive PBA matches stretching back to June last year.
Walker went through Sunday's singles without dropping a set.
He beat Southland's Ross Stewart in his semifinal in a cliffhanger match.
Munro and Walker, who have never played each other before, will meet in the Scottish singles final at the Westpac Bowls Stadium on Friday at 4pm.
Players who qualified for the national singles finals at PBA events in other centres at the weekend are Jamie Hill (Auckland), Rob Ashton (Wellington) and George Ngametua (Hawkes Bay).
