Cricket: Canterbury start well against Otago

Canterbury have made a good start to their first innings against Otago on day one of their Plunket Shield match in Dunedin.

After winning the toss and batting, Canterbury have progressed to 98 for one at lunch after play got off to a delayed start following overnight rain.

Opener Peter Fulton is in sight of a half-century on 46 not out, and with him is Shanan Stewart on 28no.

The man out is George Worker, who was caught  by Derek De Boorder off Blair Soper for 19.
