CDK edged Green Island in a last-ball thriller at Tonga Park on Thursday night.
Otago opener Jamal Todd got into some good form for the Volts ahead of the Super Smash. He flayed 99 from 48 balls before he was undone by Volts team-mate Jake Gibson.
Todd crunched nine fours and seven sixes to help CDK run down Green Island’s tally of 186 for nine.
Thomas O’Connor and Henry Scott chipped in with 20 further down the order to secure the five-wicket win.
Earlier, Gibson tonked 74 from 39 balls to get the Swamprats through to a decent total.
O’Connor nabbed four for 24 for CDK. The left-armer continues to press for further opportunities with the Volts.
Albion held on to clinch a tense three-run win against Taieri at Brooklands.
The Eagles posted 123 for seven.
Opener Joshua Olliver struck 37 from 23 balls. Otago skipper Luke Georgeson chipped in with 32 from 39, and Patrick Arnold added some late impetus with a hard-hit, undefeated 33 from 22 balls.
Ruben Clinton was the best of the Taieri bowlers. He took three for 14 from four tight overs.
He then did his best with the bat, whacking 51 from 49. Matthew Parker added 28, but the chase faded.
Arnold grabbed three for 19 to complete a good game for Albion.
North East Valley won by the DLS method. University-Grange posted 94 for seven from 20 overs.
The Swans were 61 for two in the eighth over when play was called off. Andrew Sheridan scored an undefeated 38 from 22 balls.
