Jason Hughes will convene the men's panel which also comprises 2003 New Zealand Open winner Mahal Pearce and Hills golf director Craig Palmer.
Palmer is the only member of the successful panel previously convened by Greg Johnson, with Wanaka professional Alan Rose making up the trio.
After the resignation of the women's convener and manager Lisa Joyce, there is a complete change to those running women's golf.
Former Golf Otago chairwoman Judy Muir (Wanaka) will manage the team while Heather Atkinson, Simon Boland (both Queenstown), Rowan Greaves (Otago) and Sport Otago's Michael Ormandy are charged with selecting.
The masters (over-40) men's panel remains the same with Murray Edgar, Michael Minty and Michael Smith on the panel.
However, a significant change is the appointment of former Otago No1 Chris Timms as the masters manager.
Previously, the reserve would double as the manager but formalising this role has already made a vast difference.
Timms has been successfully fundraising and many more of the older brigade are lining up to trial this year.
This is an important development as the national over-40 interprovincial will be played on Chisholm Links later this year.
The men's panel have a hard act to follow as Otago has performed well in recent years thanks to some clever selections and team placing by Johnson and his panel.
Otago made the Toro semifinals in 2013 and played Waikato in the final at St Andrews in 2014 and again at Otatara last year.
Add to this an impressive 28-stroke win in the final SBS Bank Southland invitational last year and it is Otago men's best record since the golden decade of 1973-82.
