new Zealand golfer Bradley Iles relinquished the lead in the Players Cup in West Virginia today, carding a four-over 76 in the second round.

Iles had begun the day in the second-tier Nationwide Tour event at Bridgeport one shot ahead of the field after a seven-under 65 yesterday.

His two-round total of 141 put him seven shots behind the club house leader, David Peoples, who compiled a second-round 65 to be 10 under on 134.

Also on 141 was fellow New Zealander Grant Waite, with rounds of 70 and 71.

Two other New Zealanders, Phil Tataurangi and Steven Alker, remain on the course but are in danger of missing the cut, which is projected to be 142, or two-under.

Tataurangi is even through 15 holes and even for the tournament, while Alker, who is even through 13 holes, is 10-over after his 82 yesterday.
