The 3yr-old Bushfire impressively won his first start on June 26 at Addington and had one other unplaced start on July 10 on the same track.
Mon Star (10m) beat his stablemate Houdini Star (30m) by half a length in the main trot over 2400m in 3.09.8, the last 800m in 58.5, the final 400m in 29.
