David Butt is set to continue a run of success at the Winton meeting today with My Mei and Malak Uswaad.
Butt trained and drove My Mei, Ohoka Texas, and Millwood Kansas to wins at Wyndham last Sunday. He also drove Storm Light to win a heat of the Southern Belle speed series. Eight days earlier, Ohoka Texas and Malak Uswaad won by identical seven and three-quarter-length margins at Invercargill.
My Mei (race 9) and Malak Uswaad (race 10) have both drawn the pole position over 2400m from the mobile gate today.
Storm Light is at Addington tonight for the New Zealand Breeders' Stakes with John Dunn the driver. Storm Light ran third to De Lovely and Beaudiene Bad Babe in the Northern Breeders' Stakes at Alexandra Park in December. De Lovely is at $1.05 in fixed dividend betting on the Breeders' Stakes. The smart 3yr-old Terror To Love is resuming in race 1 tonight.
He accounted for Gold Ace and Empyrean in a race for 3yr-olds at Alexandra Park in December and has won against older horses at Addington.
