• Numero De Lago, winner of his two starts over hurdles and three on the flat, has been sidelined with an injury to his right front leg.
He sustained the injury in a flat race at Oamaru on Monday.
"He is quite lame and has ligament damage. I would say it is 50-50 that he would race again," Michael Daly, his Washdyke trainer, said.
"He will have a good spell and we will hope for a miracle." Numero De Lago has won over hurdles at Oamaru and Washdyke this winter.

• The prospect of a heavy track at Riccarton has resulted in the running rail being shifted out 8m for Saturday.
The Canterbury Jockey Club made the decision to shift the rail in view of torrential rain in Christchurch on Monday and the experience of 2006 and 2008 when the National meeting, scheduled for three days, was reduced to two due to a rain-affected track.
The shift of the rail has reduced the size of the Winter Cup (1600m) field by two to 16.

Allpress gave her goggles to McKenzie as a memento.
Gallop South made a presentation to Allpress to mark her New Zealand title achievement.
