Two Otago Black Ferns - Carla Hohepa and Kelly Brazier - are finalists in the New Zealand rugby awards to be announced in Auckland on December 17.
Both were members of the Black Ferns team that drew the test series against England last month, and both are finalists in the women's player of the year award category.
Hohepa is also up for the New Zealand sevens player of the year award.
The dynamic winger has scored nine tries in her six tests for the Black Ferns, and her speed has also made her the top women's sevens player.
Brazier, a key member of the Otago Spirit team for the past four years, made her debut for the Black Ferns against England.
A feature of her year was scoring 64 points for Alhambra-Union in a club match against Kaikorai.
It was a record individual points score in a women's rugby match in New Zealand.
Victoria Heighway (Auckland) is the other finalist for the women's awards.
The nominees for the premier Kelvin R. Tremain player of the year award are All Black captain Richie McCaw, All Black first five-eighth Dan Carter and All Black hooker Andrew Hore.
Most of the finalists were revealed last week but the premier and women's awards were delayed until the end of the All Blacks' and Black Ferns' test programme.
