The wintry blast in Otago this week has affected club and school rugby this weekend and only a few games will be played.
The rough weather has stopped Mt Aspiring College from travelling from Wanaka, and its Highlanders First XV match against King's High School at Forsyth Barr Stadium today has been cancelled.
It will be replaced by the inter-school match between Otago Boys' High School and Waitaki Boys' High School, which has been transferred from Hancock Park and will be played at the stadium at 2pm.
The curtain-raiser between John McGlashan College and St Kevin's College will still be played at 12.30pm.
The game between Dunstan and James Hargest has been cancelled.
All South Otago rugby has been cancelled today. All Central Otago rugby will be played but the game between Maniototo and Arrowtown has been postponed.
All grades of rugby, netball, football and Saturday hockey have been cancelled in North Otago today.
