The Otago Spirit has secured three home games this season, but the question is where they will be played.
Nine games across the Farah Palmer Cup premiership and championship have venues that are still dotted down as "to be confirmed", including the Spirit’s home games against Taranaki (July 29) and Manawatu (August 19).
The Spirit, which plays in the championship division, has one confirmed home game at Forsyth Barr Stadium, against North Harbour on August 12.
Presumably, most of those unclear fixtures are down to venue availability, with the Fifa Women’s World Cup being played across the country from July 20 to August 20.
Last season, the Spirit played the championship final — which it lost 24-20 to Hawke’s Bay — at the Balclutha Showgrounds when Forsyth Barr Stadium was unavailable.
Last season was a stunning one for the Spirit.
The side will want to build on that and go one better in the final this season.
The Spirit gets under way with an away game against Tasman on July 22.
Its other away game comes two weeks later, against Northland on August 5.
The championship will have quarterfinals this year, set to be played on August 25-27.
Semifinals are scheduled for September 1-3, while the premiership and championship finals are set for September 8-10.
