Two Dunedin players in Tonga squad

Two Dunedin club players have been included in a 30-man Tonga squad which will face the All Blacks and Manu Samoa in New Zealand next month.

Taieri lock Don Lolo and Alhambra-Union outside back John Tapueluelu are among 15 new caps included in the squad.

Highlanders back-up loose forward Solomone Funaki and former Highlanders captain Nasi Manu have also been included in the 'Ikale Tahi squad.

Lolo is a bruising second-rower who has been a key figure in the Taieri pack during the past few years, while Tapueluelu is one of the more potent players in an exciting Alhambra-Union backline.

The 30-man squad includes 22 players who are based in New Zealand.

Former New Zealand and Australian rugby internationals Malakai Fekitoa, Lopeti Timani and Afusipa Taumoepeau will become eligible for Tonga after playing in this weekend's Olympic sevens qualifying tournament in Monaco.

However, the trio will be unavailable for the July tests because of the 14-day quarantine period on arrival in New Zealand.
