Erika Fairweather has put on another record-breaking display at the national short-course championships.

The 13-year-old Neptune swimmer swam 4min 22.52sec in the 400m freestyle yesterday in Auckland.

That resulted in her bettering fellow Neptune swimmer Caitlin Deans' national girls 13-years record of 4min 23.40sec, although the mark must be ratified.

She claimed gold by more than 3sec, and also won gold in the girls' 13 200m individual medley, in 2min 21.41sec.

Her efforts came the day after she smashed the 200m freestyle record in the same grade.

With the 1500m freestyle and 400m IM records already to her name, yesterday's swim was her fourth national record, provided this week's two are ratified.

Zenith swimmer Tame Govaerts-Paul had another successful day, claiming silver medals in the men's 17-18 200m IM and 50m breaststroke.

He swam 2min 03.90sec in the medley race, before finishing the breaststroke in 28.72sec.

The results qualified him fourth overall for the open finals.

Neptune's Geoffrey Kemp secured a bronze medal in the men's 15 200m IMin 2min 10.21sec.

Zenith's Stefannie Gillespie was third in the women's 19-and-over 400m freestyle in 4min 23.16sec.

Neptune swimmers Jessica Scott and Cecilia Crooks both had fourth-place finishes, as did Kiwi's Madison Wills.
