A celebration of "industrial psychotic garage grunge guitar and beats" from original 1990s noise outfit Lung comes to Dunedin’s Crown Hotel this weekend.

Lung’s Dunedin gig will be held this Saturday, December 19, with support from The Prizillas and Darryl Baser & the Country Gents, as well as the Charcoal Burners.

Originally hailing from Palmerston North and now based in Wellington, Lung features original vocalist-guitarist Dave White and original bassist Phil Williscroft with Zak White on drums.

Lung recorded a few releases in the early 1990s, including Cactii in 1991.

In support, The Prizillas are a new and rising powerful punk-inspired, ukulele-driven outfit, and the Charcoal Burners are a collection of old hands in a new formation, promising to bring the noise.

Darryl Baser has thrown a band together for the evening, with a couple of actual rock and rollers, under the guise of Darryl Baser and the Country Gents.
