This month marks 20 years of Bird of the Year — two decades of campaigning, scandal, and surprises — all sparking action for New Zealand’s unique manu (birds).
Voting for the 2025 Bird of the Year, presented by Forest & Bird, will open at 9am on Monday, September 15, and close at 5pm on Sunday, September 28, with the winner to be announced on Monday, September 29.
