Colombo will give one performance of the solo show, this Saturday from 7.30pm, at the New Athenaeum Theatre, offering a chaotic and critical analysis of the state of the world.
The show is created and presented by Late Bloomers — the creative partnership of Colombo and Bronwyn Wallace, who directs.
"We always wanted the challenge of writing an hour stand-up show," Colombo said.
Baroness has recently returned from a successful season at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
The show takes audiences through the peaks and troughs of being a billionaire.
"We always found ourselves thinking, ‘what would we do if we won the lottery?’ Everyone has those daydreams," Wallace said.
"And then we found Angela Burdett-Coutts, who was basically living out the dream."
The pair found her achievements had a comedic edge and the piece quickly emerged.
"We’re silly and absurd, but we never stay surface level — we like to leave people with something to mull over," Wallace said
