Advocacy groups InternetNZ and the Telecommunications Users Association of NZ (TUANZ) are looking to work more closely together.
InternetNZ president Pete Macaulay and TUANZ chairman Chris O'Connell said the paths of internet and telecommunications users had steadily converged and the lines were now blurred and overlapping.
The two organisations saw benefits from a closer alignment, including possible amalgamation of some functions or organisational attributes.
