In good voice
The latest Arts Foundation newsletter reports on the activities of two former Dunedin singers.

Anna Leese performs today with the Prince Consort at the Oxford Leider Festival, while Jonathan Lemalu sings bass-baritone with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra over the weekend in their production of Roméo et Juliette, by Berlioz, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, in Los Angeles.

The newsletter and accompanying website also has riddles that, if solved, reveal this year's laureates. The riddles are on the website www.thearts.co.nz.

Art at Roxburgh
The Roxburgh Artz Fest biennial exhibition opens tonight at the Roxburgh Town Hall at 6.45pm.

The exhibition runs through the weekend, 10am-5pm, and on Monday until 2pm.

Featured artists include Waikouaiti potter Peter Gregory and Dunedin artist Ron Esplin.

Opening night entry is $12.The rest of the weekend, entry is $2.

Poetry and jewellery
The Anna and John Caselberg Charitable Trust stages A New Line at the Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum, on Friday at 6pm.

The night involves eight poets and eight jewellers exhibiting the results of a collaboration.

Jewellery created for the evening will be modelled, while the poets will read their work.

The jewellery will be for sale, along with the book A New Line, signed limited editions of the poems and poetry badges, to raise money for the trust, which supports the work of artists.

Tickets are $35 and available from Quadrant Gallery, Moray Pl, Dunedin, or from the trust.
