Milton-raised Sam Hayes was crowned champion of Dancing with the Stars New Zealand last night, after an intense two-hour grand final, which had the final four battling it out on the dance floor.
The popular newsreader was overwhelmed by the win, beaming as she thanked her dance partner Aaron Gilmore, her family and Mike McRoberts.
Hayes beat Chris Harris and Jess Quinn to take the trophy, after Shavaughn Ruakere was eliminated earlier in the night.
Hayes said she was thrilled to support the charity Riding for the Disabled and promised to take the mirrorball trophy on tour to all their riding centres across New Zealand.
