Artist Marie Velenski has been experimenting with glass-fusing since 1999. She is self-taught.
"I locked myself away in the garden shed with my old kiln and I travelled my own path in glass art."
Her work consists primarily of glass with inclusions — "a fancy sandwich with secret ingredients in the middle".
She is always experimenting and says there are endless possibilities still to explore.
"I am wholly sensitive to the world and strive to convey my dreams, my fears and my own life experiences in an honest and instinctive way in my work."
