Poppy, 18, who has cerebral palsy, is set to model at the Fashion @ the Grange event in Mosgiel.
She will grace the catwalk in a Tegan Vickery-designed vest and shorts.
Poppy has always had a love of fashion and is a student at the Otago Polytechnic fashion department.
She has always wanted to model.
She is non-verbal, and communicates through an alphabet board.
The fashion show is a fundraiser for the The Louise Davie Charitable Trust and founding trustee Steve Davie said it was great to have Poppy involved.
Mr Davie said Poppy’s sheer joy at Sunday's dress rehearsal - where she was in her chair lifted on to the catwalk by two strong young men - was priceless.
Getting on the catwalk will be a chance for Poppy to not only model clothes, but also model confidence, inclusion and possibility.
Through modelling, she would express her individuality and courage, and wants to encourage others to do the same, no matter their ability.
Miss Vickery, a graduate at the Otago Polytechnic fashion school, has 20 designs to model for the Fashion @ the Grange show.
Unfortunately, she can not be there as she is attending the Best Design Awards in Auckland tomorrow night.
