Q How did you end up making coffee?

One of my first jobs as a part-time student was in a hotel as a waiter and quickly found myself behind the coffee machine.

Q Key to being a good barista is?

Passion, intuitive knowledge and presenting each cup with love and care.

Q Weirdest drink request you've had?

I spent most of my time making coffee in Auckland ... enough said.

Q What do you drink?

I drink tea, ha. Flat white.

Q What does it take to make those shapes on top of a coffee?

A bit of dance and some fancy origami

Q Top tip for home coffee makers?

Get a coffee grinder to grind fresh coffee before anything else.

Q Chemex or Cold Brew - what's your preference?

Espresso daily.
