Alleged drink-driver almost six times over limit

A woman police say was almost six times over the legal alcohol limit was caught driving in Dunedin last night.

Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said police stopped the 41-year-old woman in Cockerell St, Brockville, at 9.10pm.

She recorded a breath alcohol level of 1435mcg.

Driving over 250mcg was considered drink driving if you were over 20 years old.

Her breath alcohol level was "extremely high", he said.

The woman would appear in court, and her licence had been suspended.
