
Alva Feldmeier, 350 Aotearoa executive director, said the campaign featured three art pieces, each one bringing attention to a different issue.
The three demands for the council were to support the transformation of the Green Island landfill into a solar farm, to secure funding for Moana Pool to be heated with renewable energy and to commit to a more ambitious heating and insulation programme to help homes transition away from coal.
Each step was a grounded and realistic way to push New Zealand to a 100% renewable energy future, she said.
Mr Redding said he was a big fan of the pool and wanted it to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
With elections coming up it was important to keep the pressure on and push for greener solutions, he said.
