Three University of Otago students embrace at Abbey College on the night of the vigil for the Christchurch terror attack victims in Dunedin.
Dunedin man Amir Amini who took the photo said it was a moment of peace and the hug showed a bond between the postgraduate students and the different continents they were from.
The students are (from left): PhD Student of Science Communication Alba Suarez Garcia (Spain), PhD Student of Dentistry Amira Samir Salem (Egypt) and Master of Chaplaincy Megan D'Souza (India).
