Two vehicles were involved in a collision near St Clair Park on November 19 and, as of yesterday, one still remained, wrapped with police tape.
The second vehicle was removed earlier this week.
Concerns were raised by members of the public earlier in the week about the danger of leaving the vehicles in the street for a prolonged period of time.
A police spokeswoman said it was not the responsibility of the police to remove vehicles.
Police could remove a vehicle if it was required for an investigation but it was usually the responsibility of the registered owner of a vehicle to remove it from a crash scene, she said.
