The 33-year-old psychology student accused of being the driver at the centre of destructive wild ride through Mornington is expected to make a plea in the matter later this month.
Katherine Ann McWilliams is charged with sustained loss of traction, failing to stop to ascertain injury, dangerous driving and refusing to provide a blood sample to police after a vehicle smashed into cars and mounted the kerb in Mornington on Monday.
McWilliams was on bail at the time of driving incident and has pleaded not guilty to three earlier charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly behaviour.
Those charges relate to an incident in Dunedin on June 6.
McWilliams appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday and was remanded on bail on all matters.
She also appeared on Tuesday after spending the night after the driving incident in custody.
It was revealed then she had breached her bail conditions by consuming alcohol.
Witnesses to the driving incident said she was carrying a bottle of wine and narrowly missed hitting children standing on the corner of Maori Rd and Hawthorne Ave when she went through an intersection and collided with a another car, fleeing the scene before being caught and held by passersby until police arrived.
McWilliams is due in court again on September 20, when it is expected she will plead on the latest charges.
