A 14-year-old and two 12-year-old boys have been referred to Youth Aid after Dunedin Police were called to an abandoned house in Abbotsford, where they were found inside, breaking windows.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said the incident happened about 3pm.
Police drove the trio home and spoke to their parents.
Youth Aid was expected to follow up the incident, he said.
