Police catch three teens on roof of high school

A nimble Dunedin police officer nabbed three boys who had climbed onto the roof of a high school and were acting suspiciously yesterday evening.

Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the incident unfolded yesterday evening about 7pm.

Police including a dog unit were deployed to Logan Park High School after a report the three youths, aged 13, 14 and 15, were on the roof.

An officer climbed up and managed to apprehend the boys but a dog was not deployed on to the roof tops, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.

There were no reports of any damage or theft at the high school.
