A cyclist is dead after crashing near Waitati, north of Dunedin, yesterday evening.
Police this morning said the crash, on Mt Cargill Rd, was reported to them at 6pm.
No other vehicles were involved.
Emergency services attended but the cyclist died at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and inquiries are under way.
