Dancing on air - Youth Week event showcases talents

The Dunedin City Council lifted its inner city skateboard ban for the Octo Fest Skate Jam held at the Octagon yesterday. The event attracted over 200 people.

Organiser Seth Gorrie said the event was to showcase the talents of Dunedin skateboarders and the attractions of the inner city by setting up specialist rails, ramps and boxes around the Octagon.

Skateboarders would also be participating in a special competition held at the Thomas Burns Skate Park on Saturday from noon.
