The truck driver taken by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital after a crash near Waikouaiti on Wednesday afternoon remains in hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman said the 49-year-old was moved to a general ward yesterday, and was recovering well.
Emergency services were called after the northbound truck-and-trailer unit left the road, landing in a paddock, 200m north of the Waikouaiti bridge.
The Linfox truck was removed yesterday afternoon, with the road closed to motorists for an hour.
Inquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing.
