Photographic expert Simon Schollum has given evidence the photographic evidence doesn't support the defence allegation of police tampering with the scene in Stephen Bain's bedroom.
The defence claim Milton Weir planted a spectacle lens but Mr Schollum, who is a police expert in forensic imaging, said he put all the negatives into order and examined them microscopically and what he found does not support the defence claim.
Essentially, the photos the defence have used in the allegation were not in the sequence in which they were taken originally. Changes of an area from black to white (or vice versa) were random, he said.
