An investigation will be held after a fire caused "extensive damage" to a farm shed in Otakou yesterday, Fire and Emergency New Zealand (Fenz) says.
A Fenz spokesman said crews were called to Harington Point Rd about 3am after reports of an implement shed seen burning in the distance.
The blaze was well-involved and there was "extensive damage" throughout the shed.
An unknown number of vehicles were inside the shed and were believed to have been significantly damaged, he said.
Two tankers and two fire appliances were dispatched and left the scene just before 6am.
A fire investigator was expected on scene yesterday, the spokesman said. — APL
