Almost 1500 Mosgiel residents were without power for a period this afternoon after their electricity was cut.
The Aurora Energy website said the fault had been located and was being repaired.
Less than five people are still without power.
The fault coincides with a planned outage for maintenance affecting 85 people Mosgiel, which should be completed by 4.45pm today.
