The iSport Foundation has chosen Kaikorai Valley College to receive donated sports gear including a set of left-handed golf clubs, racquets and baseball and cricket gear.

The organisation was founded by former All Blacks Richie McCaw, Ali Williams and Daniel Carter in 2009.

The foundation was designed to help children aged between 12 and 18 achieve their sporting goals.

The free equipment will release funding for the decile 5 school to buy other much needed sports gear, such as footballs and cricket helmets.

The public gave the sports gear to a Westpac bank branch in George St.
