Half the seats for Goodall lecture taken

More than half the 2000 seats initially available have been snapped up for this month's free public lecture by leading British chimpanzee specialist Dame Jane Goodall at the University of Otago.

Seats in four of eight video-linked lecture theatres have been taken for the lecture at 5pm on June 23. Bookings are essential for the remaining 800.

Dame Jane (75) will reflect on her 50 years' chimpanzee research at the Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania.

Tickets are available from the university zoology department reception, 340 Great King St.
