Celebrity chef Annabel Langbein will be cooking up a storm at next month’s Great Kiwi Home & Living Show at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Organisers said they were thrilled to have secured  Langbein for the show on the weekend of November 5 and 6.

The Wanaka-based chef will be cooking live at 2pm on the Saturday afternoon and at 11am on the Sunday morning.

"Psychologically, Labour Weekend marks the start of summer for many of us, so I’m really excited about the prospect of sharing some of the fresh seasonal recipes," she said.

The show is a partnership between Dunedin Venues and the Otago Daily Times.

Allied Press commercial manager Matthew Holdridge said: "Annabel will deliver her quintessential summer flavours in a relaxed and entertaining way, so we are really pleased that she is coming to the show.

"I’m pleased that people from the around the region will get the chance to see Annabel and will no doubt find inspiration in her cooking demo and talk."

Organisers had also secured a diverse range of speakers for the seminar zone including Bob Burnett, pioneer of the Super Home movement, author Douglas Lloyd Jenkins, landscape architect Emma Taylor and award-winning kitchen designer Mel Craig.

Architects Gary Todd and Fred Van Brandenburg will also speak, offering two differing perspectives of residential and commercial architecture.

The exhibition categories at the show are biking, boating, food and wine, gardening, the great outdoors, health and fitness, homes, motoring, outdoor living and travel and recreation.

Organisers hope to attract between 8000 and 10,000 visitors and more than 150 exhibitors.
